In West Palm Beach, coffee shops cluster around downtown offices, college campuses and the main commercial streets of residential neighborhoods, and the independents usually close by mid-afternoon while chains stay open into the evening. Across Florida, drive-thru coffee stands and kiosks fill the gap in suburbs and along highways, and roasters often sell bags and brewing gear at the counter. Check the listing for hours, whether the cafe takes mobile orders, and its Google rating and recent reviews; parking is easiest at suburban locations, while downtown shops rely on street meters or nearby garages. Loyalty programs are common and worth joining if you are a regular.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 7 am–4 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. I was staying in the area for 2 weeks, and I’m glad I found Johan’s Joe near my hotel. Before coming here, the only time I’ve really tried Swedish food was at Ikea. With working overnight and getting back in the early morning, I would be craving “dinner” at 7am versus a breakfast spread. I found a lot of places selling breakfast at these early hours, but Johan’s Joe was the only place I found that sold lunch items. On my first visit here, I got their Swedish meatballs platter and a lavender cardamom lemonade. I instantly fell in love. In fact, out of the 15 days of staying in West Palm Beach, I ate at Johan’s Joe 11 times. Every single time I’d get a plate of Swedish meatballs. I also began to try out other items, like their waffles on the weekend, scrambled eggs, bacon, and soup. All fantastic. For beverages, I always got their lavender cardamom lemonade and later discovered the orange juice to be really good, too. How did I manage to eat Swedish meatballs 11 times in 2 weeks? I was curious, too. Upon reflecting, I realized how perfect the platter really is. It offers perfect balance. Let me explain: Texturally, there’s a crispness from the pickled cucumbers, a slight pop fro

Johan’s Joe Swedish Restaurant and was genuinely impressed by the coffee. Smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced—no bitterness, just a clean, comforting flavor that shows real care in how it’s brewed. It’s the kind of coffee you slow down for, whether you’re starting your day or taking a quiet break. Paired with the warm, welcoming atmosphere, the coffee alone is worth the visit. You can tell quality matters here. A simple pleasure done exceptionally well—highly recommended for anyone who truly appreciates a great cup of coffee.

Want to try authentic Swedish Food, you must try Johan's Joe! The food was fresh, delicious and fast....they make everything from scratch. Also, they have a wide selection of fresh imported Swedish candies, cheeses, and other authentic products. Also, they meal prep authentic Swedish dishes for you to take home. This is a MUST try place...in downtown WPB....but easy to get to and absolutely easy to sit down and enjoy.

Always love a visit to Johan’s! The atmosphere is top notch. We love when we can snag a couch but any seat in the place works. The noise level is great for talking and the music is a nice background but doesn’t impede conversation. Even on busier days we’ve never had trouble finding a place to sit and enjoy some delicious food and drinks. The Stockholm sandwich is our favorite and I’ve never had a pastry/dessert there that I didn’t enjoy. All the drinks I’ve tried I’ve enjoyed but just their standard black house blend never misses.
